Wanted: Head of Marketing & Sales for Biosensors

The Client

DirectSens is a company dedicated to the development of 3rd generation biosensors. A technology platform around a unique biocatalyst serves as basis for their product developments. The flexibility of the technology along with the simple architecture enables DirectSens to target several markets where innovation in sensor technology is requested.

The Task

DirectSens was searching for Head of Marketing & Sales to prepare the product launch. As the requirements were quite specific, the wanted manager could not be identified within time. Instead, DirectSens considered the employment of an interim manager and contacted Capricorn Consilium.

The Solution

Capricorn Consilium in cooperation with ZMM identified the right manager, who stepped in within days. Launch preparations have been jointly defined and executed. He also joined negotiations with both suppliers and international distributors and lead them to signature. He established a CRM system and trained 2 marketing and sales people joining DirectSens. The launch has been successfully achieved as originally scheduled.
