A multi-track approach was chosen to resolve the task. In the beginning, interviews with employees from production, regulatory, clinical development and marketing & sales gave a first overview. Secondary research via internet and perusal of material available about product and disease was followed by interviews with KOLs and sales agents in the respective countries, either by email, telephone or visits on site. The picture was completed by attendance of meetings at the WHO headquarters in Geneva. The final report recommended concrete activities and decisions and enabled Crucell to move on in their efforts.
